In a message, President Ebrahim Raeisi congratulated the victory of Iran's national men's futsal team in the AFC Futsal Asian Cup.
President's message read, "The mighty and valuable winning of the championship of our country's national futsal team in the 2024 Asian Nations Cup in Thailand made all sports-loving Iranians proud and joyful."
"I congratulate the honorable nation of Iran on this brilliant victory which is another sign of the competence and capabilities of the country's youth, and I would like to sincerely thank each member of the national team, coaches, technical staff, and everyone who played a part in the country's sports field to win this valuable title, hoping that this victory will continue in other sports events" the message further read.
The 12-time champions Iran faced Thailand in the final of the 2024 AFC Futsal Asian Cup in Bangkok on Sunday and defeated the hosts 4-1 to bring to Iran the 13th trophy.
